MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia University's journalism school has received a $250,000 gift to support a planned media innovation lab.

The university announced the gift from Alexis Costanzo Pugh and her husband, James H. Pugh Jr., on Thursday.

The lab is scheduled to be completed by the fall of 2014. It will be located in Martin Hall.

WVU says the lab will serve as a launch pad for a new media innovation center on the Evansdale campus. The Evansdale facility is tentatively scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2015.
