CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — The state Supreme Court has upheld a Raleigh County man's conviction for murdering his wife.

Forty-year-old Christopher Wayne Bowling of Daniels is serving a life sentence without mercy for the 2010 shooting death of Tresa Bowling.

According to media reports, the justices voted 3-2 to affirm the conviction.

Justices Menis Ketchum and Margaret Workman said Bowling should have been granted another trial because of errors, including holding pre-trial conference on questionable evidence in front of the press. The majority said the errors weren't enough to warrant reversal of the conviction.
