CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Resort operator Jim Justice has acquired about 1,000 acres near the Raleigh County Memorial Airport.
Justice bought two parcels from the Raleigh County Airport Authority that border land he already owns.
He tells the Charleston Gazette (http://bit.ly/19OtF0P ) that the property will be used to preserve wildlife habitats.
Under the sales agreement, County Commissioner David Tolliver says the property can't be developed. He says Justice didn't get the parcels' mineral rights.
The deal was finalized earlier this year.
