W.Va. drivers can check license status online

September 25, 2013
Associated Press

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — The state Division of Motor Vehicles says drivers in West Virginia can now check their license status online.

Drivers are able to check and see whether their license is valid, expired or revoked. They also can check how many points they have, when the license expires and when it was last issued.

Officials say commercial driver's license holders also can check whether their Department of Transportation medical certification has expired.

The service is available through the DMV's website, www.dmv.wv.gov.
