Saved W.Va. cat reunited with superhero rescuers

September 22, 2013

MILTON, W.Va. (AP) — Bob the cat has been reunited with two superheroes that saved him from a house fire.

John Buckland, dressed as Batman, and Troy Marcum, dressed as Captain America, were entertaining children as part of their business in Milton earlier this month when they saw smoke at a nearby house. They and another bystander kicked in the house's door and broke out a window so some smoke could escape.

Buckland, a former military firefighter, resuscitated the cat, which hissed and swatted at him when it regained consciousness.

Buckland says Bob wasn't too happy to see him, either, at a parade in Milton on Saturday.

Buckland tells WCHS-TV (http://bit.ly/19uxtUU) that he gets the same surprised look every time the cat shows up.
