FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. (AP) — Six people have died in three separate accidents in Fayette County over the Labor Day weekend.

All three accidents involved single vehicles.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says three people were killed when their vehicle rolled over Saturday night on State Route 612 in the Mossy area.

Another roll-over accident on Monday killed two people and injured a third person. That wreck occurred on U.S. 60 near Hico.

A woman was killed in another accident Monday in Oak Hill when her vehicle ran off the road and hit an overpass pylon.

Sheriff Steve Kessler tells The Register-Herald ( ) that the holiday fatalities are tragic. But he says there could have more deaths and injuries if other vehicles had been involved.
