David P. Morgan, Jan. 20, 1943 - May 1, 2008

David Paul Morgan
David Paul Morgan, age 65, of Jacksonburg, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling. He was born January 20, 1943, in Chardon, Ohio, son of the late Logan and Emma “George” Morgan.

He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God, Tyler City. He was a retired coal miner from the Quarto 4 Mine, Powhatan Point.

Mr. Morgan was a U.S. Army veteran. He served with the 7th Calvary while in Vietnam. He served as Commander for five years at the American Legion Post 81, Pine Grove; member of the Masonic Lodge 34, Middlebourne; and member of the Osiris Shriner Temple, Wheeling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Micheala Starkey; five brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Myrna Francis (Weekley) Morgan; three daughters, Kim Lannette (Ed) Dallison, Tracey Leigh (Bryan) Brown, all of Jacksonburg, and Stacie Lynn (Tim) Starkey of Pine Grove; four brothers, Bill, Dean, Mick, and Bernard Morgan; two sisters, Maxine Morgan and Juanita McClintock; three grandchildren, Cody Dallison, Clay Dallison, and Morgan Starkey; several nieces and nephews.

Friends were received Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Palmer Funeral Home, Pine Grove, where services were held Sunday, May 4, 2008. Interment at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Legion Post 81 Toy Drive, Pine Grove
